Hall of Fame

by Steady on Jul.02, 2010, under

This is my Hall of Fame. These are my characters that have reached the level cap in that particular game. I am attempting to get as many characters on this list as I can. I am not a power leveler. In fact, I am never in a hurry to get to the max level. I like to play the games, not rush to the end. I have also included the date the max level was achieved.

Steady Rock-Stone/Ice Tank

by Steady on Aug.11, 2009, under City of Heroes

So my Stone Tank hit 50 over double XP Weekend, so will post the build here. This build has Purples in this build, but to be honest, most likely will not every slot them. This is an endgame tank. Build for statesman, hami raids, mothership raids, and the new Kahn TF. Best way to run this tank, is to Teleport into a mob, use ice patch, then use Freezing Touch and Ice Block to hold any bosses, and then allow your teammates do their thing. I have the run speed up to 51.5%, which is pretty good. While in rooted gets me to about 10 miles per hour, which is not going to win many footraces, but is respectable. Get the communter Day Job, and log out in the Tram statations, that will improve you run speed as well.

Steady Ice Smash, Ice Armor/Fire Melee Tanker

by Steady on May.27, 2009, under City of Heroes

Steady Ice Smash is my oldest Level 50, that I have. He is also one of the few characters that I have, that has two builds. The dual build system is great, it is just costly, so I do not make a second build on every character that I have. Steady Ice Smash is my main character/leader of Moonbase Gamma, on the Liberty Server. So he runs a lot of Task Forces/Teams. He is also my main badge/crafting character on Liberty. So he has two builds. The first build below, is the main build. It is a very defensive build, and does fair damage. I have found this build to be a pretty good tank on the Sewer Tr, because it does have a bit of Psionic protection. It is a defense based tank, and can take a pretty good beating, and hold up. I have ran it on Statesman, as the main tank, and with a good healer, it can hold up against Lord Recluse for a bit, but is most likely, better as being the off tank, or a second tank, to a Stone Tank. Then again, what tank is not a good second tank to a Stone Tank on a Statesman. I use this build to solo, and on a team when I do not need to have TP or Stealth, someone else has it, so I do not need it. So is a very good build.

The only hole in this build is that I did not take hasten until Level 49, which is pretty late in the process. If I redid this build, I would find a way to move hasten up a bit, so I could get more use out of it.

This is the second build, and is the build I use when I am running a Task Force. It has recall friend and a stealth IO in Superspeed, so it is very handy on lower level Tasks Forces like Positron. It is a must have on any of the Shadow Shard Task Forces. Basically you can run around with you Ice Armor on, and as long as you do not have chilling embrace toggled on, stealth anywhere you want. Very handy in the Shadow Shard Task Forces, because a lot of the baddies have extra perception, so if I am seen in stealth, I can still keep moving because I can with stand the damage that is going to be dealt. I have not put any set bonus in this build, other then the Stealth IO set, because I have found that it really does pretty good at running Task Forces, as is. In the future I might put a few sets in, to strengthen the build to run in the Shadow Shard. It does fine in there now, but a few sets would make it a bit easier.

This build is a bit more offensive then the build above, so you have pay a bit more attention to what you are fighting, and how much damage you can take. Since it is usually only used on Task Forces, someone is usually along to heal, so you can sacrifice a bit of defense, for offense and the ability to stealth and TP team members.
