I currently have a 50 person Vent Server. It is mostly used by the moonbase Group on the liberty server, for the game City of Heroes. I like vent, it is very simple to use. I would also like for it to be full of people gaming. Right now it averages 10 to 12 people a night. I would like to add a good World of Warcraft group (Elune Server) to the vent. A Warhammer (order) group on Ironfist Server would be nice to add also. I am not real picky about who uses the vent. If you have a good group in need of a vent, let me know. With that being said, I do have a few simple rules.

THE GOLDEN RULES OF STEADY’s VENT

1. No Profanity. Is a really simpel rule. I WILL NOT TOLERATE ANY PROFANITY AT ALL. SIMPLE, USE PROFANITY AND YOU WILL BE BANNED.

2. Must be over the age of 18 to use the vent server. I take a lot of grief for this one. I really don’t care. It is my server, and I do not want to be responsible for anyone under 18 on the server. Personally, as a parent, if you are allowing your child to log-in to a vent server that you have not been on, and checked out. You are wrong.

3. Use push to talk. We do not allow voice sensitivity. I do to want to hear loud background noise, you eating, or taking on and off your headset. Push to talk is easy, and polite.

4. Be nice. Simple really. If you offend anyones race, gender, sexuality, or politics, you are gone. Really this is not the place to discuss that kind of thing anyway. Most play MMO’s to escape that type of thing. I know I do, I just want to log in and take out a few bad guys.

5. I am not shy about banning anyone. If you are mature, thoughtful player, you will always be welcome in my vent.

6. Use the proper room in vent. There is a general Chit-chat room. Don’t go into a team room of players, attempting to take down Lord Recluse and start chit-chatting away. Allow them to use vent to be a more effective team.
